About BHCG
What is BHCG?
The Business Health Care Group of Southeast Wisconsin is a membership organization of large and small employers. We are the business community’s voice and collective action group for influencing the direction of health care costs and quality in our region. Our objective is to manage escalating health care costs and provide employees with access to more efficient and effective health care services by pooling our common interests, efforts and purchasing power.
We seek to support a market driven health care delivery system in Southeastern Wisconsin through:
- creating information transparency
- leveraging purchasing power
- structuring accountability from consumer, employer, administrators and providers
- supporting consumers
BHCG Exclusive Health Provider Network
A key component of the BHCG strategy is consolidating benefits administration and using the group’s collective purchasing influence to improve health care efficiency and effectiveness through Humana Preferred (BHCG), a variety of Plan options supported by a High Performance Network. Humana Preferred (BHCG) is available exclusively to BHCG members through Humana, which offers a variety of plan options for self-funded employers with 100 or more participating employees, and various benefit plan offerings for fully insured employers with 2 or more participating employees. Customized benefit designs are available for self-funded employers with 300 or more participating employees.
