How you can join us
Employers of all sizes, whether fully insured or self-funded, can benefit from BHCG membership. BHCG activities are supported through annual membership fees. Individual company or associate memberships are available as well as membership through a sponsoring organization.
Individual company membership
Organizations with more than 400 employees may join the BHCG independently as individual company members. Individual company members may participate in all BHCG meetings and activities and have a voting right if they offer the Humana Preferred (BHCG) provider network to their employees.
Associate membership
Organizations with less than 400 employees may join the BHCG either independently or through a BHCG sponsoring organization like a chamber of commerce or business association. Associate members do not have a BHCG voting right but do have access to the Humana Preferred (BHCG) network as well as information, educational materials and meetings. Membership fees
BHCG members pay a one-time joining fee as well as an annual per-employee membership fee – currently $9.50 per eligible employee. For purposes of membership fees, an “eligible employee” is defined as one who can take the company’s health plan even if they choose not to enroll or a retiree receiving employer-sponsored health insurance.
One-time joining fee*
- 2-10 employees = $100
- 11-25 employees = $250
- 26-99 employees = $500
- 100+ employees = $1,000
*Waived if joining through a sponsoring organization (sponsoring organization pays this fee)
