 Exclusive to BHCG: Humana Preferred (BHCG) Provider Network
Working closely with the BHCG Provider Relations Subcommittee, our administrative partner, Humana, developed Humana Preferred (BHCG), a variety of health plan options supported by a High Performance network of health care providers that is available exclusively to BHCG members in Southeastern Wisconsin.
- All types of providers are included in the network to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Physicians representing 20 specialties were evaluated by statistical methods, which identified and measured episodes of care costs, including physician, hospital, ancillary, pharmacy and laboratory costs, adjusted for differences in severity of illness.
- The network includes more than 4,000 physicians and covers an 11-county area in southeast Wisconsin, including: Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha Counties.
- Approximately 75 percent of all currently contracted local Humana PPO providers participate in Humana Preferred (BHCG).

Humana Preferred (BHCG) is available exclusively to BHCG members. A variety of plan options are available to self-funded employers with 100 or more participating employees, as well as for fully insured employers with 2 or more participating employees. Customized benefit designs are available for self-funded employers with 300 or more participating employees.
